Parchisi error message

I am trying to run the game Parchisi on my computer ( Win xp ) but I keep getting the message " error memory violation" The game installed ok and the intro runs fine, the message pops up when I actually try and play the game. Help appreciated.

My guess would be that there is an issue with some part of your graphics system (either DirectX or your graphics card's drivers)

Could you give a some information about the specification of your computer
DirectX version,
Graphics Card and
Graphics Card Driver version

Directx 9.0c
Graphics card - Radeon 9800 Pro - driver version 8.231.0.0

There is an newer graphics driver available, which you may want try to update to.

Usually (although admittedly not always) in situations like this, where the intro runs but the game then gives an access violation, is due to something in the graphics system.
