Blast Thru on Vista
Help!
I just bought Blast Thru, an old favourite of mine, and am trying to run it on Vista Home Premium (the Greenstreet website said it was compatible with Vista). It runs fine, but will not go full screen. I have tried fiddling with the monitor resolution and it is on the highest (1200 x 800) - any ideas? The F11 key doesn't solve the problem. The game only occupies the centre 25% of the screen and this is not good for my eyesight or enjoyment!!
thanks, anyone

Re: Blast Thru on Vista
Could you give a some information about the specification of your computer -
DirectX version,
Processor,
Graphics Card and
Graphics Card Driver version
(you can find help on how to get this information at
http://greenstreet-online.com/support/form-help.html)
It's not a problem I come across before, but we'll try our best to help you.

Blast thru on Vista
Hi Bart
The OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 6.0 build 6001
using DirectX10.
Processor: Intel pentium dual T2390@1.86GHz
Graphics: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset, on a generic PNP monitor @ 1280 x 800 resolution (max)
Driver: igdumd32.dll version 7.14.0010.1295 (English)
The sound and effects are fine and the game works normally in every other way.
Hope this helps
Thanks
Jon

Blast Thru on Vista
Bart,
I've just noticed on the label the graphics is a Mobile Intel X3100 accelerator, if that means anything.

Re: Blast Thru on Vista
I've had a look around and I've found various people with the same graphics card as you, reporting similar problems with completely different programs.
I don't have the same graphics card, so I haven't checked the following, but...
Go to the page where you were changing the monitor resolution (right click on the desktop -> "Personalise" -> "Display Settings")
Then click on the "Advanced" button.
This new dialog should have a tab on it called something like "Intel(R) graphics media accelerator driver for mobile", click on this.
This should give you lots of options to change.
Looking at various people's instructions and screenshots.. Under the tab "Display Settings" there should be a button "Aspect Ratio" (or could be refered to as "Envelope"), clicking on this should give you the option of changing to "Full Screen" rather than "Centre Desktop".
