Under Windows Vista there are several directories that no user can save to unless they are explicitly running the program as an administrator. These folders include all the "Program Files" directory (for instance C:\Program Files\greenstreet\Publisher" where Greenstreet Publisher is installed by default)

The new versions of Publisher and Draw (v4.5 and later) have been updated so that it obeys these rules that Vista has introduced and users may have noticed that various folders have been moved compared with previous versions.

However, users who have installed versions prior to v4.5 may find that if they opened a document from the "Program Files" folder (e.g. from the old Templates and Layouts directories) and then try to save it they will get the message:
Your document cannot be saved. Either the folder does not exist, or you do not have sufficient rights to the folder, the document is read only, or there is a file sharing violation
They may also get the following message while they are working on the document:
The document cannot be saved; there is insufficient space on the disk that Windows uses for temporary file (C:)

These are both due to you trying to write (either saving or saving the automatic backup) to somewhere that Vista will not allow the program to write to.

The new locations for the templates and layouts are in the All Users Application Data folder (typically "C:\ProgramData\GST\Publisher4").

We apologise that the error messages given were not the most informative and are looking to fix this in future versions as well as issuing patches for existing versions in due course.
