Powerpoint Install stops with font not registered

Hi,

I did a search to make sure that this wasn't a topic already and couldn't find it just to make sure I wasn't wasting anyone's time.

we have just tried to install P. Teaches Powerpoint 2007 on a dell laptop and when we select 'Run' it stops with the message 'A font required by this program (Arial) is not properly registered on this system.' We have checked the fonts tab on control panel and Arial is there - any ideas what this may be and how to resolve it?

Any suggestions would be appreciated, the laptop is a new dell inspiron running Vista.
