Hi,

Most of the problem is in the title.

Publisher 5 ultimate change the .dtp file time-date stamp (windows "modified" date) as soon as a file is closed, even if you only opened it for a read without making any change.
I supposed some access timestamp was placed in the file, so I done a binary compare between a copy of the file and the "touched" file before and after, but no bit have changed inside it.

More, Publisher also turns the "A"(rchive) attribute to set, making any backup software to backup it again, wasting place in backup and multiplying versions of the file.

The only turnaround I found is to set all files as read-only but it is very boring.

Any update that would correct it would be very welcome.

Best regards,
Pascal
